Last weekend was the last time that the Dutch ice was available for skating since the temperature is now above 0°C. I’m not that much of a ice skater, but my girlfriend is, and since I have to give her some love and attention every once in a while I decided to go with her…
Ice skating is a fun thing to do, cause I didn’t fell, but god I hate that cold weather. I was very happy when we returned to home to drink a hot cup of tea. Since I suggest that you are also happily sitting at home drinking some hot liquid behind your computer. And that you have a lot of spare time now since you don’t want to go outside, I’ve prepared a free dubstep sample pack for you to use!
The reason I created this free sample pack is because I find that everyone should start with a high quality and personally sorted out dubstep sample pack. I remember when I started creating dubstep.. I was searching the whole world wide web, but there were no free high quality samples available to download. Which was a pity, because I didn’t had the money to buy $10,00 sample packs. It annoyed me, cause I had to buy it anyways.. Even though I were just a beginner.
With that in mind I’ve created this free dubstep sample pack for you to get you cross the line and get you started with creating dubstep with ableton!
Because I’m giving you this sample pack for free, I ask you to do one little thing in return:

I do not know if you have Ableton Suite, but would you be able to do a tutorial on bass which is comparable to those of Skrillex and where you use Operator instead of Massive?
I’d also see a tutorial focusing on arranging the dubstep track in Ableton. For example; You take one of your own tracks and explain the choices you made when you wrote that song and how it eventually came to this.

At the moment I’m busy with a tutorial on the dubstep Lead Sound in Ableton. After that I can look what I can do about the ‘Skrillex kind of bass’. (I’m not a fan of skrillex)
Your idea about a screen cast of my ableton live dubstep track arrangement is a great idea. I’ll definitely do that when I’ll be able to.

currently have a Novation Launchpad and Impulse 49 but I can’t use them
efficiently in Ableton. I usually use Fruity Loops.
